“What do you do to make your paphiopedilum this gorgeous?” I once asked my father. His house was decorated with a variety of beautiful orchids - there were outdoor plants on the porch, and houseplants next to the dinner table, alongside the couch and in the living room. My father said that “each plant requires different things, like slightly different amounts of water, sunlight and fertilizer. If you pay attention to what each plant needs, your plants will thrive”. My father’s lesson was about growing orchids, but his wise words apply to much more.
My role as a support agent for ServMask, helping customers succeed with All-in-One WP Migration plugin, reminds me of the joy of gardening. Just as each plant, bulb or seed require a different amount of water, soil, and sunlight, each support scenario requires the application of different skills, knowledge and solutions.
Plants can live and grow on their own, but my job as the gardener is to make sure that they have what they need, to make sure they’re not overgrown by weeds, to make sure they get the water, sunlight and nutrients that they need to thrive. In the same way, our customers can mostly manage on their own, but sometimes they reach out to us, and we are here to make sure they have what they need. They may need some information, the answer to a question, or a bit of a helping hand for their websites to thrive.
My job requires professionalism, knowledge and skill, but when engaging with our customers, it also requires empathy, patience and great communication. These soft skills are just as important as the hard facts in finding the resolution to any issue, as they allow me to understand the customer and the situation at hand.
Like weeding the garden, the best results are achieved when all obstacles are removed for our customers. Like giving advice to gardeners use a spray of dish soap diluted with water on plants that have pests, to put out saucers of beer to trap slugs and prevent them from munching on our plants, the support team are specialists who use their knowledge to find the right solutions to any issues or problems that customers experience.
In the same way that a landscaper may consult with a soil expert to achieve the best habitat for a specific plant to thrive, so we engage with our software developers and engineers to resolve any issues that might need expert insight. Our plugin developers cultivate and maintain their code and remove bugs, just as a garden must be tended to keep it looking and growing beautifully.
As a member of the All In One Migration team, my job is to support the customers, to make sure that they have what they need. When I need to, I communicate with experts and I always use the tools available to me to find the right solution for our customers efficiently and effectively. At the end of the day, we work together with our customers to see how beautifully and fruitfully our gardens can grow.
We want to help you make the internet a beautiful place, to grow your ideas and support you in sharing them with the world, because that’s what nature intended. We are here to give you the information and support that you need to help backup and migrate your websites with ease with our All-in-One WP migration plugin.
